L.: a collection of my thoughts and writings about Language and Literature

  Most were first published in various magazines and web sites. Since some of the magazines and sites are professional and/or academic, which the ordinary reader might have difficulty finding, I have brought them together here. Some I have edited slightly to bring them up-to-date with my current thinking, but mostly they are as they were first published.

  I hope that you find them interesting. I hope, also, that they start you thinking about the topic. If I can stimulate your mind enough to start thinking about the topic then I shall have achieved my aim in writing all my books.
